Can I share something that's been on my mind?
This year alone, the number of families requesting a full no model release has nearly tripled. Years past, it was incredibly rare. Now it's becoming much more common.
I completely respect that every parent has the right to decide what's best for their child. That's never up for debate.
What I don't think many people realize is the impact those decisions have on my business. Photography is unique. My portfolio isn't just something I'm proud of—it's how future families discover my work. In fact, it's likely how you found me. Almost every client who books with me does so because another family allowed me to share a small glimpse of their session. That's how this little business has grown over the last nine years.
The truth is, I don't share entire galleries. I typically post just a handful of images from a session—usually five or six at most. I rarely revisit galleries to post more later. I don't identify children by name, and I'm careful not to share images where names are visible on clothing, props, or personalized items. I also carefully choose the images I share, always with your family's privacy and dignity in mind.
At the end of the day, the choice will always be yours, and I'll always honor it.
I simply wanted to share the perspective from the other side of the camera. Every image a family allows me to share helps another family find me, trust me, and preserve their own memories. Thank you to every family who has trusted me with that privilege over the last nine years. I'll never take it for granted. 🤍
